Rose and Doreen Greetings!

This month is Labor Day, a traditional salute to the American worker. For many of us, it also signals the end of summer and turns our attention to fall.

This September is the 10th anniversary of 9/11. It does not seem that is has been ten years since our world changed so dramatically. We hope each of you will pause this September 11th to remember all those who were lost that day and those have given their lives in defense of our country since then.

Fun Summer Hair

Even though it is the end of summer, we thought we'd give you one last glimpse of a fun summer do!

Fall-Winter Hair Trends

The fall fashion shows in Paris were full of interesting hairstyles for the upcoming seasons. One Web site described them as "messy to dressy." The runways exhibited braids, ponytails, updos and short cuts. Free flowing natural locks with a strong center part were popular. Some ponytails were relaxed and gathered at the nape of the neck while others were more sophisticated and had a lock of hair wrapped around the base of the ponytail for a polished look. milkmaid braids

Buns are back on the scene as well. Some buns were loose and messy and others were sleek and glamorous. Some designers showed a deep side part with the hair on both sides pulled back into a bun.

Braids were everywhere. Braided pigtails, side braids and Heidi braids were seen on models.

Short hairstyles continue to be popular, especially short cuts with a bit of attitude and short cuts with a side part that were slicked back.
