Dear Rose-Dore,
Is it really November? It seems
like it was just the 4th of July! We will soon be gathering
with  family and friends for
Thanksgiving and then we'll be getting ready for Christmas. Hard to
believe it is so close. Be sure to book your holiday hair appointments
now; we are filling up quickly.

Sam
Graduated!
Doreen's son, Samuel Earl Lowery, finished his two-year training to be
a nuclear electronic technician in the United States Navy. He is
assigned to the USS Nimitz, the lead ship of America's largest class of
aircraft carrier. It is temporarily docked in San Diego, California but
will be moving to Bremerton, Washington. Congratulations, Sam!

Fashion
Focus Beauty Show
Several
Rose-Dore stylists attended the Fashion Focus beauty
show in Lexington, Kentucky last month.They attended classes
and viewed demonstrations on new cutting techniques, color perfection,
color correction and more.

With the
holidays just around the corner, this is one of the best times to begin
an exercise program. I have completed my certification as Trainer of
Special Populations. I have been certified to exercise those
individuals who have special exercise considerations. I have learned
the effects of medications on exercise and vice- versa. I now can work
with individuals who have manageable diseases and disorders. I have
also been trained to work with senior citizens, children, maternal,
obese, and those with DDI (difficulty doing it). Exercise can help
manage the needs of the special populations. I am also a certified
personal trainer and a certified nutrition and wellness consultant.
Next year I will be going back to college to pursue a degree as a
registered nurse. In the mean time, I wanted to let those interested in
fall training know of my availability. I only have two spots available
on Tuesday and Thursday mornings (7:00 and 7:30), and I have a single
spot on Fridays at 7:30. If anyone is interested in training, contact

When you encounter a man or woman
in uniform during the course of your day, take just a moment to say"
thanks for your service". A few words and a handshake are all
it takes. Or if in a restaurant, ask the server to give you the
soldier's check. Or buy the person in uniform a cup of coffee. Small
gestures, but a way to let those who serve know we appreciate
their sacrifices. Veterans Day is November 11th. Remember all
those who have served, past and present.
