Last year our food collection for Gleaners Food Bank was so successful, we decided to do again. You'll read the details of our food drive below. Please join the Rose-Dore in our efforts to help feed the hungry.
Be sure to book your holiday hair appointments now. Our schedules are beginning to fill up and we want to make sure you are ready for all those special occasions.

Hunger Never Takes a Holiday
Thank you for your great support of last year's food drive for Gleaner's Food Bank. Your response was so heartwarming that we have decided to conduct another food drive this year. Gleaner's tells us that 38% more people need food assistance this year than last! Many of those who need food are children. 83,000 kids live in poverty in Gleaner's Central Indiana service area. Please bring in your non-perishable food items or monetary donation for Gleaners. Better yet - do both! For every $1 donated by you, Gleaner's can process and provide eight pounds of food for hungry people; that's six meals!
Items needed by Gleaner's include beef stew, tuna and other canned meats; macaroni and cheese and other boxed dinners; cans of soup; 100% juices; applesauce; canned vegetables; peanut butter; and canned fruits.
We will accept your donations through November 30th and see that they get to Gleaner's. Just drop off your donations during regular salon hours. Thanks!

Rose-Dore Made Strides Against Breast Cancer
A big thank you to our "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" participants. While the walk started on a chilly note (44 degrees to be exact), the walkers on Team Rose-Dore were eager to pound the pavement for such a good cause. We had four walking members of the team: Nan Johnson, Charity Johnson, Linda Hill and Tom Korte. They were joined in their fundraising efforts by the whole Rose-Dore crew, both in encouraging donations and making personal contributions. We were happy with our first time effort for the American Cancer Society and hope to raise the bar next year.
A special thanks to Lora Steele for her wonderful displays in the salon. We couldn't have looked as sharp without her tie dye and lettering of our team shirts. Atta girl Lora - you were our 5th man.
Thank you to all who made donations to help us raise more than $300. Stay tuned for information on further fundraising events.
