Dear Rose-Dore,
It's hard to believe it is the middle of summer and time to celebrate the best of summer holidays, July 4th. Please take time this holiday to remember the service men and women all over the world who are on duty to protect our freedom.
The weather lately has been hot and humid. These days are very hard on your hair and skin. Don't forget to try Aveda's new Sun Care 16 Hour Defense & Recovery System. These products will cleanse, restore and help protect the hair from the sun, salt, chlorine and other summer exposure.
There is a valuable coupon at the bottom of this newsletter for 20% off on an Aveda LipSaver SPF15 with the purchase of a Sun Care Defense & Recovery System.
Happy Independence Day!

Eat Fresh, Eat Local By Scott Stevens
Stevens Lifestyle & Image Management
Now that summer has arrived, so have the farmer's markets. Farmer's markets have existed in different forms for many years and have enjoyed a 111% growth over the last decade. Through these markets, farmers are able to build a local clientele and reap profits without the middle man. Buyers also benefit from produce that is ultra fresh and in season. These markets give customer the unique experience of being able to converse with the grower and provide a great locale for a community place. They help develop food culture -a variety of foods commonly grown in the area and can be purchased seasonally. Foods are less processed and less packaging is used. This creates less waste and is good for the environment. Foods are usually fresher. Most foods have been picked within 24 hours of purchase and have not been frozen or treated with preservatives. Farmer's markets encourage healthier food choices and boost the local economy because the middle man is eliminated. Thus, the farmer's income is more likely to be reinvested within the community. To locate your local Farmer's market, visit www.ams.usda.gov/farmersmarkets for information, dates, and times of a market near you.
