Happy December Birthday!

Dear Rose-Dore,

Birthday Cake
This holiday season we hope you will take a few minutes to reflect upon your blessings. We are incredibly lucky to live in this country, where despite our disagreements, we live in peace. Please remember our service men and women serving us around the world and give generously to the charities of your choice. Finally, take a moment for yourself. Luxuriate, pamper yourself, read a book, see a movie...do something for yourself to bring you joy.

Enjoy the blessings of the season.

Merry Christmas!

Doreen & Rose

Hunger Never Takes a Holiday

We have decided to extend our food drive for Gleaner's Food Bank. Please remember the hungry adults and children in our community and bring in your canned goods and other non-perishable food items. We will accept monetary donations for Gleaner's as well. It takes one dollar for Gleaner's to process and provide six meals to a hungry person.

As a reminder, Gleaner's needs beef stew, tuna and other canned meats; macaroni and cheese and other boxed dinners; cans of soup; 100% juices; applesauce; canned vegetables; peanut butter; and canned fruits. Please drop off your donations at your next appointment.

Halloween Hilarity

In case you missed us on Halloween, this year brought out a variety of costumes from the staff. It is always a surprise to see Duane's elaborate costume creation. He does all the work and is always FAB!

This year Duane was "Glamour" Pebbles from the Flintstones. Nan dressed as the Biggest Loser, Tonya was a Go-Go Girl and Lora was Captain Cartoon.

Stephanie's Daughter is Married

Stephanie's oldest daughter, Allison, was married on Halloween. That morning she and her bridal party (consisting of seven bridesmaids, one junior bridesmaid and two flower girls) came to the salon, in the midst of our Halloween hilarity, and had their hair and make-up done. Allison was married at St. Monica's Catholic Church. The reception was held at the Crown Plaza Union Station. The newlyweds honeymooned on the Mexican Riviera and then returned home to Los Angeles.

Doreen Will Portray Countess in Madrigal Dinner

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

To celebrate this season of good tidings and peace, the Duke of Burgundy announces the coming of his first Madrigal Dinner. The Duke extends to all his loyal gentry an invitation to join him, his Duchess, and indeed the entire Royal Court, for a yuletide banquet of fine food, good cheer and hearty merriment at Northwood Christian Church, 4550 Central Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46205.
Whilst spirits thus are gently moved, the guests shall dine upon sumptuous cuisine of Tendre Porke (or vegetarian fare for ye gentle of heart) prepared by the finest cooks in all the land, the Duke's own private chefs. Surrounded by the glorious sounds, lavish costumes and spirited dance of the early 16th century, the noble Duke's guests become part of the pageantry, history and celebration of the Royal Court.
Under the direction of his lordship, Alan Alder, the choir consists of members and associates of both the Indianapolis Men's Chorus and the Indianapolis Women's Chorus.

Meal and merriment shall occur on the evenings of
Saturday, December 12th at 7 p.m.
Saturday, December 19th at 7 p.m.
Sunday, December 20th at 3 p.m.

Tickets are $30 for single admission or $50 for double admission. Go online to www.indychoruses.org today to reserve seats.

Do hurry as seating is limited. Early purchases are highly recommended. Advanced reservations are required. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
